My Artist Close-Up Interview is Live!

I’m so excited to share that I’ve recently had the opportunity to be featured in an Artist Close-Up interview, written by the talented Adele Kotze. It’s such an honor to reflect on my journey as an artist and share a bit more about the heart behind my work with you all.

In the interview, I talk about how my path into the art world began, the inspiration I draw from nature, and the themes that continually appear in my paintings. You’ll also get a glimpse into my creative process and the artists who have shaped my approach. I’ve always believed that art is more than just something you hang on the wall—it’s a reflection of life, emotions, and the world around us.

One of the most fulfilling parts of the interview was discussing the underlying messages in my work, how I describe my own style, and the role I see myself playing in the larger art world. As artists, I think it’s important to connect deeply with both our own work and with the people who experience it, and this interview gives me a chance to share my perspective on how that connection can evolve over time.

I also mention my work being accepted into the Jury Exhibition of the PBS KVIE Art Auction in September 2024, and how truly humbling it was to win the Juror’s Award in the Contemporary Division. It’s been a milestone in my journey, and I’m incredibly proud of this recognition.

If you’re curious to learn more about the story behind my abstract landscapes, my artistic influences, and how I view the future of my art, you can read the full article here:
