As an artist, I’ve always found myself drawn to nature—not just for its beauty, but for the way it reflects life and emotion. Every sunset, every wave, and every breeze seems to carry a feeling, a story, or a fleeting moment that we try to hold on to. Nature is a constant, but it’s also ever-changing, much like the emotions we experience in life. This connection inspires much of the contemporary art I create, allowing me to infuse personal experiences and emotions into my paintings.
My art often draws from personal experiences. For example, my childhood fascination with water and mermaids, blending bright pinks and blues to evoke the joy and innocence of those memories. I love how nature, like life, is constantly shifting, offering endless inspiration.
I’m drawn to the way a landscape can hold a feeling—a memory, a sense of place, or a moment that stays with you long after you’ve left it. That’s what I try to capture in my landscapes: not simply what nature looks like, but what it feels like to be there.

There’s a deeper thread running through my work that has become increasingly clear to me over the years.
Through the forest, you find the field.
For me, the forest represents the parts of life that aren’t always easy—the uncertainty, the challenges, the moments when we’re finding our way through something we can’t quite see the other side of yet.
That’s where my landscapes live.
They’re about atmosphere, movement, light, and that feeling of being somewhere in between—moving through something, searching, reflecting, or simply taking a moment to breathe.
And then there’s the field.
The field is what you find when you come through the forest. It’s openness. Color. Abundance. Joy. Possibility.
That’s where my botanicals live.
The two bodies of work are different, but they’re connected by the same idea: there is beauty to be found in every part of the journey.
Sometimes we need the stillness of a landscape to remind us to breathe.
Sometimes we need a field bursting with color to remind us that there is still so much beauty ahead.
That’s ultimately what I hope my paintings offer—a moment to pause, feel something, and maybe see your own life a little differently.
