Tantalizing was inspired by the Northern California fires from a few years ago—a time when the power of nature was both devastating and awe-inspiring. Everyone was affected in some way, and it was a stark reminder of how unpredictable and forceful nature can be. Yet, even in the midst of destruction, there were moments of surreal beauty—like the way the sun would set against a hazy, smoke-filled sky, casting an otherworldly glow over the mountains.

I wanted to capture that fleeting, almost mystical atmosphere—the way the landscape was distorted into something unfamiliar yet mesmerizing. Nature is constantly in flux, giving and taking, pausing and surging forward. Tantalizing reflects that movement, that balance between chaos and renewal, destruction and hope. It’s a reminder to pause, to take in both the fragile and powerful moments, and to hold onto appreciation, love, and resilience even in the face of change.
